abstract = "Os munic{\'{\i}}pios de Bonito, MS e Brotas, SP s{\~a}o dois

economia atrelada {\`a} agropecu{\'a}ria. Entretanto, com o
desenvolvimento nas {\'u}ltimas d{\'e}cadas do turismo
ecol{\'o}gico, que passou a ser outro setor gerador de recursos
financeiros, a vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o florestal nativa que protege
os rios e outras paisagens naturais tur{\'{\i}}sticas passou a
ser valorizada. Nesse estudo avaliou-se no per{\'{\i}}odo de
trinta anos (1988-2018) a mudan{\c{c}}a do uso e cobertura da
terra (LUC) e as implica{\c{c}}{\~o}es da competi{\c{c}}{\~a}o

no espa{\c{c}}o rural.
dois munic{\'{\i}}pios. Tanto em Bonito quanto em Brotas as
{\'a}reas de floresta nativa aumentaram. Em Bonito essas
{\'a}reas representam atualmente cerca de 50% do
munic{\'{\i}}pio ante 40% em 1988. A paisagem florestal {\'e}

os outros 50%. Foram identificados 16.877,1 ha de APP, sendo que
2.423,8 ha devem ser recompostos. Em Brotas as florestas nativas
tiveram um aumento t{\'{\i}}mido no per{\'{\i}}odo e
atualmente ocupam somente cerca de 20% da paisagem que {\'e}
ABSTRACT: The cities of
Bonito/MS and Brotas/SP are two main ecotourism destinations in
Brazil, and are characterized by having their economy linked to
agriculture. However, ecotourisms development over the last
decades turned it into another sector that generates financial
resources, even in urban areas, where the native vegetation that
protects rivers and other natural landscapes has gained valued.
Our objective in this study was to evaluate, along a thirtyyear
period (1988-2018), changes in land use and land cover,
implications of the competition between agriculture and native
forest vegetation over areas, as well as to quantify the cities
permanent preservation areas in 2018. We used geoprocessing
techniques to map land use and land cover in 1988 and 2018, and
delimited the APP areas in the cities. Both Bonito and Brotas show
increase in native forest areas. In Bonito, these areas currently
occupy about 50% of the city, against 40% in 1988. The forest
landscape is interspersed with pasture, soy and corn areas, which
cover the other 50%. A total of 16,877 ha of APPs were identified,
of which 2,424 ha must be recomposed. In Brotas, the native
forests showed small increase over the period, and currently
occupy only about 20% of the landscape, composed mainly by the
industrial agriculture crops sugarcane, eucalyptus and citrus,
which compete over space and advance every year onto pasture
areas. In Brotas, 1,187 ha of APPs must be recovered along river
banks.",
